How long is a tour?
The tours vary in length, from 90 minutes to 2 hours. They are all themed so you get to experience Nashville the way you want!
Where is the pickup/dropoff location? You will pick us up from our hotel?
We have a pickup/dropoff location in downtown Nashville (Cummins Station, 271 10th Ave South). We can also pick you up at your downtown or Opryland hotel for an additional fee.
Is there parking available?
Yes there is paid parking at our pickup location, however, we strongly urge you to take an Uber or Lyft if you will be drinking.
Is the "top always down?"
No. It's all your call. Top down, top up. Heat/AC on, heat/AC off. We don't put the top down in the rain or snow.
Do we make any stops? What if I have to use the restroom?
Yes, depending on the tour, we make anywhere 2-4 stops. If you need to go to the restroom, not a problem, we can make an additional stop.
What can I bring?
Alcohol to drink, mixers, non-alcoholic drinks. Everything must be poured into a plastic cup. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes. We provide the cooler, ice, and cups (the classy red ones). Snacks are also welcome. A playlist on your phone (try to keep it clean) and tasteful decorations (Ahem, Bach weekend?) if you want.
What are the beer/liquor laws in Tennessee?
- Wine and liquor may be purchased at liquor and grocery stores Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Liquor stores are closed on Sundays and wine sales in grocery stores are prohibited on Sundays.
- Wine and liquor sales are also prohibited on New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
- Beer may be purchased at grocery stores, convenience stores, and gas stations on Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. until midnight, and on Sunday from noon until midnight.
- All alcoholic beverages sold by the drink in bars and restaurants are legally available on Monday-Saturday from 8 a.m. until 3 a.m.; on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 a.m.
Sooooo, get your booze early! Please don’t get sick in the Jeep. There is a $150 fine for clean-up.
What if I don’t want my alcohol or snacks when the tour is over?
We will dispose of it no problem.
What should I not bring?
No glass and no illegal drugs. Smoking is also not allowed in the Jeep.
Do I need to have a reservation?
Yes. you must book online and fill out the waiver. If for some reason you forget to fill out the waiver, we will have them for you to fill out before your tour.
Do I have to pay in advance?
How early do I need to arrive before my tour?
10 minutes before your tour starts.
Do I have to be 21 to take a tour?
Uh. Yea. This isn't the limo going to prom.
Can you ACCOMMODATE large groups?
Absolutely! We offer smaller Jeep tours for groups of 2-3 and for groups of 4-15 we offer an experience on our new "Top Down Cruiser." (Yea, its a van with the top off). We love it!
What if I need to cancel?
Sure. Stuff happens. Cancellations must be completed a week in advance for a 50% refund. After a week there are no refunds, but we can reschedule for free.
What about inclement weather?
We have a soft tops on our Jeeps. We can have the windows down, top up, side windows off, back window off. We will make sure you are having a great time without getting drenched or freezing. Our #1 goal is to make sure you are comfortable and have a GREAT time!
Can I take pictures?
Yes! We run a social media contest every few weeks. If you use our hashtags #TDT #TDJEEPTOURS #TDTN during the tour we might send you some cool #TDT swag. Our #TDTGuides are all tourism professionals, and we take all the pictures throughout your experience and create a list of things for you to do after your tour, based on your interests.This is all sent to you for FREE!
What is your tipping policy?
Absolutely. We appreciate any gratuities for our TDT Guides.
What about the colder months?
We are open year round- In the colder months we can leave the top up and heat on full blast. It's completely up to you!
Will you stop so we can pickup booze?
Yes, if everyone in your party agrees to stop.
How do I get some "Top Down Tours" merch?
Merch is coming soon, everybody loves Nashville swag. Hell, people are buying those "615" shirts. Why would you buy a shirt with an area code on it? Whats next, towels with the GPS coordinates of your house? OK Magellan, get out your compass.
Can you drop us off somewhere besides the starting point?
Depends on how well you tip. Kidding again. Yes, we can drop you off anywhere downtown, generally.
